Occupational Therapy - Occupational therapists are trained to assist people of all ages to perform the functional tasks that normally occupy their
lives.  The occupation of childhood is to develop the skills necessary to become functional and independent adults. These skills include:
-Regulation of arousal level in order to attend.
-Refinement of sensory discrimination and processing.
-Continual refinement and development of motor skills.
                                                                             -Development of communication skills.
                                                                             -Appropriate social interactions.
                                                                             -Age appropriate self care skills.
                                                                             -Self concept.
To qualify for this service, a sensory profile must be completed as well as a comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation.  Most children will undergo
standardized testing to define the treatment needs.  For infants and toddlers, or children who cannot cooperate with testing, the therapist may do
structured or unstructured clinical observations.

Speech Therapy –  Speech therapists provide therapy to children who have disorders with speech and/or language.  Speech disorders involve unclear
speech.  Receptive language is how well a child understands and processes what is being said to her or him. Expressive language is the message that a
child puts together after processing receptive information.  To qualify for this service, the child must undergo a comprehensive speech and language
evaluation to determine delays and goals for treatment.  The evaluation process is comprehensive and assesses a child’s receptive language (what they
understand) as well as their expressive language (how they form their sentences and questions).  This is followed by a comprehensive articulation test to
look at how your child uses every sound in every position of words.

Physical Therapy – Pediatric physical therapists are trained to assess the motor development of children.  They have the expertise to determine the
appropriate treatment for physical limitations or functional impairments.  To qualify for this service a child must first undergo a comprehensive physical
therapy evaluation.

Social Skill Classes – Group classes provide instruction to children to assist in development of effective social interaction.  The classes are based on
the philosophy and teachings of Michelle Garcia Winner and The Center for Social Thinking as well as other research-based social skills programs.   Criteria
