Interactive Metronome® Our staff loves this exercise program because we see significant changes in short periods of time! Visit our Success page to review some of the case histories. Review our results! The Interactive Metronome (IM) program provides a structured, goal-oriented process that challenges the patient to synchronize a range of hand and foot exercises to a precise computer-generated reference tone heard through headphones. The child attempts to match the rhythmic beat with repetitive motor actions. A patented auditory-visual guidance system provides immediate feedback measured in milliseconds, and a score is provided. This program is administered by our Occupational & Physical Therapists. Benefits of the Interactive Metronome® Program This program, currently used by over 1000 clinics and schools, is backed by scientific research and has proven beneficial in effectively improving the following capabilities: - Focus/Attention - - Coordination - - Control of agression/impulsivity - - Reading and math fluency - - Language processing - The above findings are from a double blind placebo controlled clinical study on A.D.H.D. This study was peer reviewed and published in a leading medical journal. Insurance coverage, for this program, depends on a variety of factors including: individual plan benefits, payable diagnosis, physician’s referral, purpose of the intervention and credentials of person providing intervention.
