Teri Allen, OTR/L , Clinical Director
Teri is a graduate of Western Michigan University, with a bachelors degree in
Occupational Therapy. She is registered with the National Board for Certification in
Occupational Therapy and licensed with the State of MI. She established Children's
Therapy Center in 1988 in an effort to provide high quality out patient therapy to
children. She is certified to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis
Test (SIPT) and a certified provider for Interactive Metronome and the Therapeutic
Listening Program. She has completed training in DIR/Floortime by Stanley Greenspan.
She has over 700 hours of continuing education in pediatric therapy & over 25 years
of pediatric experience including developing a pediatric treatment program in a small
community hospital and a home health agency. Her other professional experiences
include: working on a rehabilitation unit at the University of Michigan Medical Center,
treatment of adults with neurological impairments in home health and extended care
facilities, and two years on the faculty at Western Michigan University.

Leah Simon, OTR/L
Leah joined the Children's Therapy Center staff in the summer of 2005. She earned
her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University. She did child care
with special needs children for four years before starting her Occupational Therapy
career. She is a Certified Interactive Metronome Provider and has completed training
in DIR/Floortime by Stanley Greenspan. She has volunteered in the following areas: the
Early On program, fitting children for Amtrykes, and carrying out home exercise
programs. Her internships included work with both children and adults in a variety of
settings including: an elementary school, a private clinic, and the Unified Clinic at

Occupational Therapy. She is a Certified Interactive Metronome Provider and has
completed training in DIR/Floortime by Stanley Greenspan. She has worked for
Children's Therapy Center and Rehabilitation Associates, in a variety of positions
through high school and college. She has been on staff with us since the summer of
2008. Her clinical internships were at Mary Free Bed in pediatric and adult outpatient
and at Thurston Woods Village. She is registered with the National Board for
Certification in Occupational Therapy and licensed with the State of MI.

Certified Interactive Metronome Provider. She joined our staff in the fall of 2008. She
has over 25 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist both with adults and
children. Her experience with children has been in out patient settings and home
based early intervention.
